Sebastian Haller arrived at Borussia Dortmund from Ajax last summer with dreams of greatness. However, before playing a match on the field, the sky fell on his head. It is known that the Ivory Coast striker has been diagnosed with testicular cancer.

Playing football is a far-fetched thing, he was in doubt at that time. But fighting in the field, in whose blood, why would he give in to cancer! Haller didn’t agree either. Defeated cancer and returned to the field. The striker played as a substitute in the match against second tier club Fortuna Dusseldorf. Dortmund beat Fortuna 5-1 in the match.

Before joining Dortmund, he received the bad news of being diagnosed with cancer. After that, his fight for survival began. For six months he fought with this deadly disease. After being diagnosed with cancer, Hollar had to undergo two surgeries as well as chemotherapy. Meanwhile, the 28-year-old star joined the winter training camp with the team.

Haller said in an interview that he was “feeling good” and said, “These six months have been very difficult for me. I am happy to practice with the rest here. It was not easy at all. But that’s my job, I love the game. So I have to stay fit.’

Haller’s voice also shows that he is not completely independent even after recovering and returning to the field. He also said, ‘In this kind of illness you never know what the future holds. I have to think about each day separately and keep myself fit.’

But every time he gets on the field, he wants to destroy himself, said Haller , “Anything is possible.” I will not set any limits for myself. My boundaries will be determined by the trainer and medical team.

Haller also thanked the supporters in a video message earlier. He said, ‘It was not easy at all. But everything is possible with your help.
“Sebastian’s return is positive news for all of us,” said Dortmund’s sporting director Ruhr Nachirichten on Haller’s return. The club has given him all possible support. But in the end it was possible because of him.
