Controversy is not leaving behind Kylian Mbappe. Not even a week has passed since he broke the news that he wants to leave PSG in January. French forward in talks with PSG again.
This time he threatened to revolt in the club. Neymar is at the center of the threat. Mbappe does not want to see the 30-year-old Brazilian forward at PSG. Mbappe has given a stern message to PSG to get Neymar out, according to Spanish media outlet El Pais.
It was clear at the start of the season that Mbappe’s relationship with Neymar is not good. The two were involved in a dispute on the field over PSG’s penalty. PSG coach Christophe Galtier, however, dismissed the conflict.
However, the relationship has not developed, which was later understood in several activities. As Neymar is silent about Kylian Mbappe, Mbappe is also silent about Neymar.
“El Pais” said, Kylian Mbappe does not tolerate Neymar in any way.
Basically, the French star cannot accept Neymar for two reasons. Firstly, Neymar’s behavior is not to Mbappe’s liking. Mbappe believes that Neymar does not respect discipline and that the club authorities do not, or cannot, take an effective role in bringing him under control. Second, Mbappe wants PSG’s football project to revolve around him, with him at the center of the game on the pitch and other aspects of the club.
But because of Neymar, some things are not in Kylian Mbappe’s favor.
For this, Kylian Mbappe demanded to release of Neymar to the club authorities before the start of the 2022-23 season. Thinking about the future of the club, PSG president Nasser Al Khelaifi also agreed at one stage.
But Neymar could not be sold due to a lack of potential buyers. However, later things turned out to be different. PSG signed a new contract with Neymar. According to the contract renewal, Neymar will stay at the Paris club until 2027.
Then Mbappe’s displeasure with Neymar increased as the season began. Due to this Kylian Mbappe has given a strong message to the club, and Neymar has to leave PSG. El Pais wrote, Mbappe threatened to find another club without canceling the contract with PSG if Neymar is not released.
Earlier last week, the Spanish daily Marca reported that Mbappe told PSG to leave the club in January. Before that, while playing for the French national team last month, Mbappe commented that there is less freedom in club football.
At that time, the French newspaper Lequipe said that Mbappe’s preferred position is the left side of the field. Mbappé has to be in the striker position because of where Neymar plays now.
A few days later, Kylian Mbappe also posted a post on Instagram indicating his dissatisfaction with the field position, which he deleted again after a while. It remains to be seen what PSG will do now.
